Waist beads have been worn across West Africa for generations, as adornment, as a marker of milestones, and as a quiet way to track the body over time. Ours are strung by hand, one strand at a time.
Measure where you want the beads to sit, waist, hip, or in between, and add two inches. Send us the number at checkout and we string to it.
Beads can be worn in the shower. Pat dry and keep away from oils and perfume so the finish stays true.
Every strand is finished individually, so colour and bead placement vary slightly piece to piece. That is the mark of the work, not a flaw.
